Shallow Sea East of South Eleuthera

I worked for a marine and coastal engineering company for a while when I lived in Miami. We did a lot of work in the Bahamas, particularly Eleuthera and Nassau.

The magical moments for me was always flying over all of the various islands and seeing the myriad shades of blue I'd see interrupted by these oases of green.

This picture in particular was taken as I was flying in for a project in Cape Eleuthera. Such beauty! Such Magic!

Beauty Of The Shallow Sea aka Bahamas
by: Dieter

Hello Zickie,

What a great photo you posted here! Isn't it a real vacation feeling to look down on the beauty of the shallow sea as it is in parts of the Bahamas?

The huge watercolors reminded me of a giant painting our planet and it impressed me deeply on my first flight from Miami to Eleuthera.

Flying from Rock Sound in South Eleuthera to Nassau later on, I saw the most awe-inspiring watercolors of my whole life and I've traveled a lot.

For anyone who loves to look down from a plane and admire the beauty of the sea in between the many Bahamian islands, I'd suggest they book the 25 minute flight from Nassau to Rock Sound.

Thanks for your very nice contribution, Zickie, and best regards from sunny Eleuthera,
