tiger shark in the bahamas
Hatchet Bay was the location where TIGER SHARKS came in to feed on the dead chickens dumped over the cliffs. You see, back then Eleuthra was the dairy and livestock island of the Bahamas. Chickens farms had dead chickens every day that had to be disposed of.
Guess how they did it? A daily diet of "all you can eat" chickens, makes for some very large tiger sharks. I was a lucky boy back then to be introduced to the Bahamas.
I spent 6 weeks aboard the 42 foot, all wood schooner named Swordfish. You know there must be a God when you witness the waters and beauty of the islands.
